This is Synergy after the haul-out and replacement of the boomkin. The new spars were made from a 16ft x 10" x 1-1/2" plank of clear fir with perfectly vertical grain running the length of the board. The thickness required (2-1/4") necessitated laminating two pieces together. We feel this created additional strength. |
