Watch out!
So you want to modify your contour eh? Well I have put together this page to give you my thoughts on certian mods. I'm not a Ford engnieer, but I have done some work in field of hydraulics, paper airplanes, bottle rockets and lego cars, so I know what I'm doing. So any info here is not reproducable with out my consent. You may not "barrow" any pics or data... thanks

For those of you adding Slick 50, Duralube and etc. Its a total waste of money! I don't remember if it was the consumer protection agency or some other government firm had found out that the people who has been making this snake oil has been making false claims. And they were orderd to stop making the false claims, but not the oil! Do not buy any of those informercial oils!! a good bottle of Moble 1 will do just good or better!
The infamous KKM!!!
This seems to be a popular mod and not badly priced when compared to other similar filter for other cars. While it doesn't have alot of power gains (I'm talking 10+hp) it does make a nice audiable sound. Were talking a sound that scream look at me im fast! Be carefull using it in the summer as I've done testing that concludes that hot air from under the hood can reach 140F+ deg being sucked into the engine! What does that spell!? SLOW... And even more when the A/C is on!
Cutting the resonator
Superchips
Cutting the resonator, makes it sorta loud from the outside but makes it pretty loud in the sinside. Not much for power increase, but I didn notice a high MPG. Those of your worrying about drone will not like no resonator. I reconmend that you add a glass-pack inplace of the resonator. Removing the resonator costs about $20-$40 depending on the shop. Some stupid shops might tell you that taking it out will cause problems but it wont. Some shops will not do it, because they don't know what a resonator is and don't want to mess with it. You just have to keep trying... Those of you that have noisey neighbors, use a hacksaw and just cut it out, start your car and let simmer on idle for about an hour... that will teach em

ps. The duratec sounds cool with no exhaust =)
Superwhat!? what kind of brand name is that!? it sounds like something you would find late night on a TV informercial. While they claim 20 this and 20 that on the SVT, its all bull. Maybe if you ran 100+ octane it might help with a custom chip. Thats if you can fine a code that acutally works, my dealer had reprogrammed my ECU during a recall. Leaving me without the new ECU code, so now I have a  $219 dollar paperweight. Superchips wanted me to send in my ECU or call the dealer to get the ECU code. But the dorks at the dealer were less than coperative. I also tried to yank the ECU to send to SC but that didn't work... Needless to say, if you don't live near FL to get a custom chip, spend your money on a Y-pipe...
