Cassiar II Interior Photos

Cassiar II

This page provides a rare overview of the interior of S/V Cassiar II, a 39' PH. The 39's are a wounderful blend of 38 hull with a pilothouse added and an original interior, it's hard not to fall in love with one at first sight. Cassiar II's interior layout was decribed as the "convertable layout" in Hans Christan literature. One enters the interior via a spacious cockpit and stout door.

Cockpit

The galley is to port with a dining table and two large bench seats to starboard which makes into a double berth. There is a refrigerator, gimbaled stove with oven, double sink and storage in the galley. The Nav & Steering Station is forward with the helm to starboard. Large bronze ports provide light and visibility.

A few steps down from the pilothouse and forward is a single berth to port and the head is starboard with the characteristic Hans Christian tile and marble.

Forward on starboard is the main stateroom which has a queen-size Pullman berth and built in storage areas. There's a large hanging locker as well as a vanity with sink on the port side.

The most forward area is the anchor locker and additional storage/work space.

The interior is teak and in excellent condition. This 39 is another example of the Hans Christian attention to detail and utilization of space.
