| Salzburg, Austria is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to in Europe. It is nestled directly in the middle of the mountains about 3 hours by train south of Munich. This is where "The Sound of Music" with Julie Andrews was filmed. Their main business is tourism which is brought in by Sound of Music fans, the beautiful castle, Mirabel Gardens, and of course the salt mines which made the city extremely wealthy. I ended up going twice in one week, playing tour guide for 5 of my friends here at JYM. Only have a couple of pictures though. I hope you enjoy them. |
