Artrageous |
| You know what, at our school, we've founded a club for really creative and highly imaginative activities. We call it the 'Artrageous Club'. In this we conduct activities and come up with topics for discussion that might seem 'outrageous' to common people, but for us it is highly rewarding and that's why we call it 'artrageous'. What I am sharing with you this time after having shared the 'artrageous' speech made by the founder of this club, Yoyo and our first artrageous activity, is one of my personal favorites. This section is only for the artrageous guys like our pals and us. Try out the activities we would put up through this section and experience for yourself the reward of coming up with something absolutely new. If you have something artrageous to share with us, write to me now to swami@swamifor kids.com If Yoyo and his team find the idea or the picture or story 'artrageous' enough, we'll put it up here with your name and you can be a part of our artrageous club. |

| The Project: Eggs can be painted or colored with crayons or felt-tipped pens, turned into funny faces, topped with fantastic hats, trimmed with feathers or sequins or simply dyed in an endless variety of hues. However you decide to do it, decorating eggs is real fun for all. Remember some of the tips we learnt during our experiment and use your creativity to give the eggs an artrageous look. * Eggs to be decorated may be either hard-cooked eggs or empty eggshells. The hard-cooked variety is a bit sturdier for children to use, while empty shells are best if you're making an egg tree or want to keep the eggs on display for a considerable time. * If eggs are to be dyed, washing in a mild detergent solution helps to remove the oil coating so that the color adheres more evenly. Food coloring can be used to color but some of our young craftsmen at Gurukul, prefer to experiment with their own colors from nature. |
