MID-CAROLINA IPMS SWAMPFOX NEWSFLASH June 2002 |
Our May meeting went very well, with 12 members in attendance! We will need to bring more chairs! As you can tell the XP demon has been exorcised from my computer and I can now send the newsletter as before. On a sad note we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to John Helms, whose father passed away on May 20th. Keep him and his family in your prayers. Please be sure and visit our website at
www.oocities.org/swamp001.
We now have had over 12,500 hits. We want to make sure that our flyers and Sumter’s are up in the local hobby shops. If you notice either club’s missing when you next visit a shop please let me know so they can be replaced. It is very important to let potential members know both clubs are out there. Members from both clubs will be going to Virginia Beach for the IPMS nationals at the end of July. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see the best in scale modeling and the largest collection of vendors that you will see anywhere. You owe it to yourself to attend. As promised, Paul Lovell received a 2nd place for his 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat at the SCMA show. New items on display for us to drool over were:
