HOT NEWS
The band formed in late 1980 in Northampton UK. They played mainly cover versions of rock/blues material by the likes of Free, Gary Moore, Deep Purple etc, although they did write some of their own material, some of which was recorded on various demo's, the mighty epic ";Starhaven" springs to mind, but they never really got very much attention. The original line up consisted of Ian Dick, Steve Garner (Drums) later replaced by Ian Astrop, Ram Tiwary (Bass) a second guitarist, Al Cannam was added. This line up had some success in the Sounds magazine Heavy Metal chart with "Silver Screen Teaser" which reached number 10 and was in the chart for some months.  Eventually a more stable line up emerged consisting of Ian Dick, lead guitar, Nick Bicknell (ex Alien Heat) lead guitar, Steve Barlow, Bass, Steve Taylor, ("Alien" and "Distrainers") Drums & Vocals and Garry Phillips ("Mad Jack" and "Medusa") vocals, This line up joined Heavy Metal Records with the track ";Storm of Steel" on the first HMR LP  "Heavy Metal Hero's" although it has emerged that the drummer that was actually recorded on  the track was in fact Ian Astrop! A single "Sheralee" soon followed. Although not a great success in the UK the single charted for a while in Italy's Rock Charts where it reached no 3! The band toured extensivley around the rock pubs and clubs of the uk until the exit of Ian Dick after a disagreement at a gig (I remember it Ian!) He was replaced by a young Nick Lashley who added the "Killer Punch"  to the bands sound. The band returned to the touring circuit and had a few support slots with "Wishbone Ash" and "Budgie" They were approached by Wishbone's managment with view to a mangement deal but that fell through at the last miniute in favour of seventies band "Atomic Rooster". The band continued touring hard for a while and recorded the "Live Forces" tape which was made available to thier fan club with the promise of an album "Infantrycide" which sadly didnt get out of the studio. The strain of touring and lack of funding finally got too much and Steve Barlow and Garry Phillips left. More recently  "Sheralee" has enjoyed a small resurrection through the Japanese band  "Gorgon"awho have covered it on the B side of there single "Back Street Killers" and in thier live set.
Will they be seen or heard of again?....... Who can tell!
