The Capt of the unbelts, receiving sword of honor from HRM, Pennsic 2006
Well, I am slowly working through my laundry list of things to do. It's 8am on Saturday, and I am home all day. Yippy! I should be able to get lots done.
Thursday, Cat's video card fried. It's a good thing Lucan knows how to fix such things. But Bonus*** When he replaced the video card he also replace the monitor. Now we have a shiny new flat screen. Sweet!!! It's even better them the flat screen I have at work! And I was quite impressed with the one at work when they replaced my old clunker last year. But this one is even better!
I was just reviewing my videos from the war. The new screen really shows them well! One of my missions today is to work on the clips from this summer's events. D is going to put them up on the royal website as soon as I'm done. They have lots of good stuff in them like A&S comps and interviews.
Well, that is I can work on them till Cat gets up. Because of the video card mishap, he's been without internet for two whole days. Lack of access seems to have brought on some interesting ticks. His left eye keeps squinting shut and he launches in to sporadic bursts of techno babble.
On the other hand, he did call me four times yesterday just to say "hi" and when I came home from work he... *gasp* ... noticed that I had dressed up for my meeting, said I looked nice and asked me how my day was!
Those of you, who have raised an eighteen year old son, will understand the monumental force and cosmic realignments that the universe had to undergo before such events could occur.
But all things needing a yin to their yang, I can't have a child exchanging pleasantries while his fingers make pretend keyboard-typing motions and who moans, "my space" while sleeping on his dead computer. It seems cruel and unusual even by my standards and I barely knew what cyberspace was at eighteen.
Ah well, there are much worse addictions he could have. Being a computer geek isn't so bad.
