Lovely Lydia...  A photo from Pennsic 2005

Happy Sunday!

We had a great time at Rayn/ Lydia's birthday party yesterday! She loved her gift which was three little jeweled boxes filled with all different sorts of glass beads.

Cat and my Spring Crown movie was a success! Malcolm just so happened, (I kid you not), to have an in-focus machine in his trunk! He and Lucan hooked it up to my lap top with Malcolm's speakers and tah-dah! We had an outdoor movie that night in Artouris and Lydia's back yard.  It was very cool!

Malcolm has loaned us the in-focus for Pennsic. I am working on a melee training movie. If I get it done in time, it will be fun to use at night in camp for the guys. We can show it right on our pivilion wall!

Svandra was at the party. She helped me with the measurements that Fygan needed for the Dalmaticas.  She also took Lucan and my measurements for the Russian garb.

D Sebastian was there. We talked over several ideas for my new website. It seems that I am outgrowing geocities.Image

Irene was also at the party. I helped her cut out the laminated pieces that represent the tents in EK Royal, then she and Lucan began the process of laying them out on the map.  The two of them have been doing this now for many years. They know every divot, every tree and every water spigot. The layout is a living breathing process and small changes will be made right up until we actually get to war... But big things like, the big top and the kitchens and the showers are set.

Today Lucan and I finally went to the fabric store!  Yippy! We picked up enough to make he, Cat and I some summer garb. I'm not convinced it will be enough for Pennsic, but at least it's a start.

Well, even our weekend off from the SCA, turned out to be a working weekend.. But ya know what? It's a labor of love! So it's all good!

Special hugs to Edana who was also having a birthday party on Saturday in New Jersey... If only I could master teleportation!

Here's to having a stress free work week!

Cheers!

Yana
