The saga of the poi continues.

I was finishing up the Maunche poll when I came to the entry about "The Guy"... You know, the one where someone sent in in "The guy, he does good stuff..." letter, that I mentioned a couple of blogs ago.

Between my sense of fair play, that dictates that I post all recommendations sent to me and my (slightly off) humor, I was very tempted to put on the poll...

But I had a feeling that it would fill my mailbox with a rash of angry Maunches, demanding why I make such a jest on their poll...

So I went back through my notes and found the orriginal sender's address and wrote him a short note. I simply asked, (and I belive I do get points for remaining stright faced and non-cheeky), if he could help me fill in some of the blanks for "The Guy", like where he is from and what he does...

I got a responce back almost immediately! It said,(paraphrasing of course), "Your Highness, you leave me scratching my head in wonder. How did you know I was going to send you a recommendation? The first draft of it is still sitting on my desk top?"

Ok, now I can't help myself, I write back and tell this perfect stranger, "Ah, I am Princess of the East.... just like Santa, I know all..."

The person sends me a very well written recommendation.

I thank him and explain to him, now that he has been so kind to fill in the  necessary blanks, I will happily add his request to my Maunche  list, which "I am making, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice..."
To which the good gentle writes back after a few moments to ponder...

"... Umm, sure... ok... thank you, your Highness..."

That was it... Nothing else...

See... I told you... I so have to keep my humor to myself! Now there'll be some guy telling stories that A) I'm nuts or B) I think I'm Santa Claus... and I'm nuts...

*Sigh* Oh, well...

It's Friday... TGIF!!!! This weekend we are traveling to the South. Hope to see many of you at Southern Region War Camp! And here's to hoping that the weather is just a few degrees cooler!
