What's going on...
Entry for August 10, 2006

Hello!

Thank you for leaving the little notes on my blog! It's so fun to see that people are listening!

Today was my first real day in garb. Up until now I have been sewing garb, favors and little pouches for my order meetings and didn't really leave my camp. I have garb made now for Opening Cerimonies and in the morning I'll start on the purple and gold for Court.

I know, it sounds crazy. Why is the Princess stuck to her sewing machine, instead of out doing Princess things? Well, the truth is, as Baron Angus would say, I have been time Bankrupt! This first week of Pennsic is really a blessing! It's quiet and slow paced enough to get done all the little things I just couldn't find the time for at home.

My chief retainer, Lord Brennan, arrived today and first thing, before he even went on his town run, he made sure I was up and running so I could do my blog. What a guy!

He and his wife also brought me a gift from a lass in their house. Her name is Treannah. She designed little wooden tolkens for me to give out. They are really nice and it was very thoughtful of her. I will have a ball giving them out!

Right now, I  am in camp, awaiting Arab Boy. This is mostly why I am dressed up. Thank you Lady Edana, who helped me figure out how the Roman head band works. It only took us about two hours. LOL.

Arab Boy has made me a hundred glass tokens, with the Tudor Rose on them. I haven't seen them yet, but I am very excieted about them. I have two little gifts for him. A book on Arab proverbs, with some really nice illistrations and a Eastern looking dagger. I hope he likes them!

So this means I will have, 100 glass tokens from Arab Boy, 30 blue and black arm bands that I made, 40 wooden tokens from Treannah, and 250 Champion Tokens from Alasandar. I am loaded for bear! Teehee! If I give out of all of them and have nothing to hand out I will be very surprised!

Lucan and a bunch of the knights and squires have gone over to the giant pavillion out on the battlefield, for their Fight Club, practice. Imagine, if you will, doing pickups on the battlefield, but in the shade! How cool is that? The Pavillion was a request I asked of TRM's. I am so glad they took me up on it. It will really help our boys with the heat this year. He should be back after 6pm. Demi is helping me and we will be stocking it with water and pickles.

The other thing on my todo list, is the pouches for the Order meetings. I wish I had a better idea of how many were going to be there. I mean I could just keep making pouches until the cows come home to find out I only needed two. HA!

What I am doing with them is sticking a little note inside that thanks people for comming to our meetings and some candy. Everyone keeps asking me why candy. I tell them that it will make people be nice to me and overlook my mistakes. Image

Tonight, we (our camp), are ordering pizza. Sfandra and Dunkin have the 13th Warrior and remember Malcome loaned me the in-focus machine? Well, we are using the laptop and the in-focus to put the movie up on Oof's Viking A-Frame. Too funny!

Catlin misses Mr. B. Our rabbit. He says next year we will have a bunny cam so that we can see him from war.  LOL!!!

Well, gotta go. Demi just got here and I got to go give her a squeeze!

Chow for now!
