Goodmorning. It's 9:53 and we are already at the field. The boys just came back from moving hay bales and now they are catching some rest before the field battle.

It's Thurday of the war week and people are begining to tire, but spirits are very high.

Last night was court. I haven't gotten the pictures back from it yet, but people have told me that it was beautiful. Anna and Brion did a wonderful job as always.

I gave out the champion tokens to the archery champions in court. I told them that one side was in English, but the other side was in Greek. I challanged them all to find out it's meaning. For the rest of the night I heard all sorts of things. The best from Krakken who Darel told it ment free beer at Hooters.

What it actually says is, Congratulations, Princess Yana.

After court was midnight madness. Lucan, Cat, D, Jim and M, went out to shop. We were all so tired, but hey, can't miss Midnight Madness!

I picked up the amber for the Gift of the Amber. It is a household award that we give out each year to the hardest worker in camp. This year I asked the peers of VDK to meet in counsil to choose who gets it. Its very cool, because we have so many now. Condratulations to Mistress Caitlin who joined our ranks last night.

The pickles and water and stuff to stock the EK tent on the field is holding. We will run out of sugar waffers, but everything else will get us through Friday. I would say that the whole EK Fort plan was a big success! I know that I have not seen anyone vomit or go down from heat and I think the fort was a big help. Of course we still have to get through the field battle, Belted Champion's and the broken field.
