By dividing London into three sections we were able to analyse data based on where people live. In North London we found that people came to the UK either for economic reasons or to be with their families. The families of these immigrants originally came to the UK for work and money. So the main motive of immigrants in North London for coming to the UK was economic. The results for Central London were almost in direct contrast to this, as we discovered the basic motivation to be experience. So most immigrants are here for a short visit, with the intention to go back. They are mostly interested in learning to speak English and to study. South London was similar to North, where people came here mainly for economic or political reasons. Their intention is to stay here permanently.
