Cowboy Bebop, Cowboy Bebop has got to be one of the best animated features ever. In this show your emotions will change rapidly. The first couple of episodes will make you laugh out loud and introduces the amazing characters that make Cowboy Bebop what it is. First, you have Spike, the somewhat mysterious kidder who is always in the middle of a fight or crisis. Second, Jet, (the only black character ive seen in anime not drawn with big lips.) he is the brains of the crew, (Ed don't count cuz she has to be told what to do.) Spike's best friend, and the leader of the crew because they are aboard his ship. Third is Ein, the Dog who was smuggled out of some research lab. That topic wasnt very well translated through the series... but i guess it wasnt of importance. Fourth, Faye, The sexy female in this series (Every series must have at least one!). She is in heavy debt and mistakes Spike for a criminal who is to deliver a "Chip" which will free her from her debt, but gets more than she bargans for (this is where the series becomes emotional). She doesnt remember her past and is very sinsitive although she fronts. Lastly, Ed. Ed is a small red headed tomboy from earth. She has virtually no street smarts, but when it comes to computers, she is a complete genious (Like myself, J/k). Whether your into comedy, drama, or straight up action, this is the show for you. The style of animation is great, especially durring person vs. person sequences. Now for the bad stuff. The series was way to short. 26 episodes is barely enough for a single series show. Also, the last of the series was really melo-dramatic. So many things were left unanswered and the series just ended with Spike while many other episodes of the series was based on the other characters of bebop. The ending was way too sudden even though it spaned over two episode. I think it wouldve been perfect with a different ending or at least a Finale episode where it told about what happened to the rest of the crew members. All and All I'd have to give the series a 9/10. One of the best, if not the best, Animes showed in the states. A MUST BUY! (Eps comming to GamerzDen Soon.) |
