Welcome to my first website! I am a freshman at Swarthmore College in Philadelphia. For my Engineering class, I have to design a webpage to display my research paper on city planning. My first semester of classes include Engineering, Economics, Art History, Physics, and Calculus. Thus far, I find my college experience to be challenging and exciting. |

I enjoy hanging out with my friends and going to parties on the weekends. In Philadelphia I love to go shopping and visit the many museums, particularly the Philadelphia Museum of Art. My interests range from eighteenth-century Bristish literature to African art. I am an avid reader of Jane Austen. I brought all of her books and the film adaptations with me to college. I am also particularly interested in art history as a way to learn about history and other cultures. Posters in my room include works of Robert Doisneau, Walker Evans, Edward Hopper, and Gustav Klimt. I also love to travel and am obsessed with the Travel Channel. Last year I went to Ghana for Spring Break, and I have been talking about it ever since. |

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. My parents, Jim and Mary, will be married for thirty years come October 31, 2000. My dad is a psychiatrist. My sister, Katie,is married and lives in Lexington, Kentuckey. She is a nurse, and her husband is in his residency to become a radiologist. She has a three year old daughter, Caroline, and will give birth to a boy in April. My brother is in Chatanooga and is in his first year of residency as a surgon. My best friend is Julianne who I have known for 17 years. She is a freshman at Northwestern. My high school friends include Lauren Steed, Meghan Mansfield, Sara Woodruff, and Sean Garrett. |
