White Frosting Made With Shortening
Tastes best on a two layer chocolate cake, with either coconut or crushed walnuts on the frosting.
Wash it down with a tall glass of cold milk.

Ingredients:

1 Cup milk
2 Tblsp. flour
1/2 Cup margerine
1/2 Cup Crisco vegetable shortening
1 Cup sugar
1 Tspn. vanilla

Recipe:

In a small mixing bowl, place the flour and one teaspoon of the milk. Mix into the flour, mixing single spoonfuls of milk at a time. Place into a saucepan on low heat. Stir until boiling, and remove from heat. Let cool and stir frequently.

In another bowl, cream the margerine, shortening and sugar together and add to cooled milk mixture. When mixed together, add teaspoon of vanilla.
