Strategy Tips for Decipher's Star Wars: CCG:
These are the Tips and Strategies that we have at the moment. We will keep posting as we come across any. So keep tuning in because we are constantly updating this section.
- Think you don't know what your opponent has. Think again. Keep an eye on your opponents cards. I don't just mean the ones on the table. Your opponent is constantly showing you his cards. Everytime you or your opponent draws destiny (weapon or battle) you show each other your cards. Keep and eye on them. It helps so you can prepare for them.
- Protection. I can't stress this enough. Protect Your Characters. It is very important. Especially the ones that make the bulk of your deck. Some people just protect the main characters. NO! Protect them all. Any character you incorporate into your deck is there for a reason. It's fine if the character is there just to satisfy a 60 card deck or you use it to sacrafice for something else, but it would suck if you got rid of it so early. Sometimes these characters make a difference.
- Sites. Search through your cards and find good ones. Some modify your force drains and others modify your characters. There are some that allow you to search for certain cards or cancel certain game play. Take a look at the other side of the card too. You may pick a card that is good for your side but it might also benefit your opponent. Try not to put one in that greatly benefits your opponent unless your side is really worth it. You can put as many sites as you want and I myself would recommend at least six sites while others put in as much as eleven sites. Don't just put any site in your deck. They can end up hurting you.
- Your Draw Phase. Don't draw all your cards. That would really suck. You leave no force and if your opponent does something that requires you to use force to stop them or play an interrupt than that hurts. You can't fire weapons or react. What good is an interrupt in your hand when it requires one force and you have none? No good at all.
- Movement. Unless your winning the game and it doesn't matter where your characters are, don't move them around too much. When you start moving characters around you disrupt their routine. Djas Puhr is better off at Tatooine: Cantina then any Death Star site, Yavin 4 site, or Dagobah site. Tusken Raiders are better off on Tatooine, more specifically, Tatooine: Tusken Canyon. If you move your characters be sure they can help you there.
- Force Generation. If your generating too much force don't worry. Chances are your winning and don't know what to do with all this force. But if your not winning don't really try this. Well, try moving. I know, I know. I said don't move your characters around to much but, if your winning then it really doesn't matter where your characters are. Shift all your characters around. Don't use vehicles. It defeats the purpose. Deploy more characters and do the same thing. This expends your foce and recycles it through. Remember, you have to activate at least one force so even if you try that you still might end up with more than you expect.
