PREVIOUS OPINIONS - Wizards has it. Oh well. Annakin Starkiller: Well, it's time for another rambling opinion coming from me. Let's see, what can I talk about? I know. Let's get back to Wizards of the Coast's TCG game. I know that this site was first created to enlighten people about Decipher's CCG game and a petition was created to give the license back to Decipher, but that isn't really working out. We do have a few signers for the petition, but definately not enough to get heard. The petition will stay up just in case. Anyways, I've redesigned the site to include much of WotC's new game and have even participated in making Dream Cards and I have gotten my girl into the game as well. She was also co-founder of the Coalition. We are not turning or betraying, far from it. We are just doing what we do best, play card games. It's a great alternative to the CCG since no cards can be made for D's game. I first thought, "What the hell. This game is going to suck. I mean, it's got dice goddammit!" Dice are to be left for boardgames not cardgames. You don't see dice on Solitaire do you? NO! Dice really suck and my opinion about that will not change. I like the game, yes it's fun, but the dice take a lot out of me. I have made many Internet friends because of this game and I don't regret it. I love playing online with them whether I lose or win (mostly lose). The game started off slow, but has grown into an interesting game with new mechanics being introduced with every set. In my opinion, and this will always hold true no matter what, the game will never reach the level of D's CCG. It can't and it won't. Lucas did something unspeakable. He thought of himself first before the fans. The ones that gave him what he has now. If it weren't for the fans he would be living in a 2 bedroom apartment in New York still wondering what went wrong with THX1138. ILM would not be where it is (well, maybe it would). Fans support Star Wars no matter what and collectors eat this up. Decipher had something good going and the rug was pulled from under them. I don't blame Wizards anymore. Wizards did what they had to do. I blame the decision of a mogule, a money hungry mogule. It may sound rude, it may sound evil, but it's the truth. I don't blame him as a whole, I just blame his decision. I probably would have done the same. It's money and that's that. If Wizards can get him more than why not, right? The only problem is, Decipher offered more on the contract than Wizards did. He left for less. What does that mean? |
