Bang, Bang, You're Dead!

Filmed in the Middle East at the height of the Bond craze in 1966, this film stars Tony Randall as an unsuspecting American businessman who gets involved with gangsters and spies, including the gorgeous Senta Berger at her most luscious! The screenplay is clever, the production values surprisingly lavish and the terrific supporting cast includes Terry-Thomas, Herbert Lom and Klaus Kinski.

You will probably recognize Herbert Lom as Inspector Clouseau's boss from the Pink Panther series. When I watched this movie, I kept expecting his eye to to twitch!

Even though this movie is ostensibly a comedy, the plot is as complex, suspenseful, and as tightly paced as any spy movie I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the video is presently out of print. This is an excellent film that does not deserve to languish in obscurity.
