The Story of Logball. As told by Josh Sieg. Ok, It all started in Mexico, and I found this large thick stick, and I said to myself, this is no stick, It's a log! But it was no ordinary log, It was "The Multi talented Magical Log." So I got the sudden urge to play baseball, but there was no bat to be found. And I thought, "Hey! Logball!" But then I found out you can't play logball without a ball. So I went searching for about 28 seconds, and I found a semi-flat basketball. And then there was logball. I gave the log to Jonathan Kroll and Mike Young threw him a pitch. That ball almost knocked me over! Good thing I just happened to be practicing my ducking skills at that time. We then went over to the baseball field with a couple of amigos and made up the rules as we went along. It turned out to be like beseball, but not, Because It's logball! The ever so popular sport of logball was spreading around the premesis of the Church. We started with about 4 players and later ended up with 13. It was great fun. We played about 4 games, and me made great phrases such as "May the log be with you", and "log on!" and "Do you smell what the log is cooking???" and other stuff. Comes the last day and I think to myself, NO!!! I need to take it with me! So I kind of walked with it like I was handicapped, over to the van, and it was officially mine. I later heard I wasn't allowed to "Smuggle organic materials across the border". So I kind of rolled it underneith the seat. Time comes, we were at the boarder check. The man said "Sir, may we check this van?" I was kind of saying no to myself, if he found the log I wanted to share the mighty wrath of the log to him. But his "partner" said "We don't need to check this van! They are a church group. Let them through." I believe I was crying tears of joy. Mabye I wasn't. All I know is that the log is now on my wall for display, wating so patiently to be used again. Someday log, someday. |
