Chocolate Chip Cookies			6 dozen cookies

	1	cup butter
	   3/4	cup sugar
	   3/4	cup packed light brown sugar
	1	teaspoon vanilla extract
	2	eggs
	2 1/4	cup all-purpose flour
	1	teaspoon baking soda
	   1/2	teaspoon salt
	2	cup (12 ounce) semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
	1	cup chopped nuts (optional)

	Heat oven to 375.  In large mixer bowl cream butter, sugar, brown
	sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Add eggs; beat well.  Combine
	flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.  Stir in
	chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.  Drop by round teaspoonfuls onto
	ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned.
	Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack.  Cool completel
