Procedure to Generate the Apply /Check Job

  1. Sign onto SMP/E
  2. Choose option 2 – Sysmod Management
  3. Choose option 1 – Sysmod Install
  4. Enter your zone name

    5. Zone name is either your target or DLIB name

  5. Press <enter>
  6. Choose option 3 – Apply
  7. Choose option 2 – Install
  8. Choose option 3 – Function
  9. Enter your FMID
  10. Press <PF3>
  11. Press <enter>
  12. Enter <continue> and press <enter>
  13. Enter <continue> and press <enter>
  14. Enter <yes> in perform apply check
  15. Enter <yes> in groupextend mode and press <enter>
  16. Press <enter>
  17. Press <enter>
  18. Choose option E – Edit JCL
  19. Add REGION=5M to EXEC card
  20. Press <PF3>
  21. Choose option S – Submit
  22. Press <PF3>
  23. Review job in IOF

    24. *** continue with step #24 after correcting missing DDDEFs ***

    *** continue with step #35 to bypass HOLDs ***

    *** continue with step #49 when you are satisfied with your apply check processing ***

  24. Choose option 2 – SYSMOD Management
  25. Choose option 1 – Sysmod Install
  26. Enter zone name if necessary and press <enter>
  27. Select Current Step by entering <s> beside selection
  28. Press <enter>
  29. Enter disposition for your output and press <enter>
  30. Choose option 5 – Apply Check
  31. Verify parameters and press <enter>
  32. Press <enter>
  33. Press <enter>
  34. Return to step #18
  35. Choose option 2 – SYSMOD Management
  36. Choose option 1 – Sysmod Install
  37. Verify correct zone name and press <enter>
  38. Select Current Step by entering <s> beside selection
  39. Press <enter>
  40. Choose option 6 – Bypass System Hold
  41. Scroll down and select Reason ID to bypass by entering <s> beside Reason ID

    42. And press <enter>

  42. Select SYSMOD-ID by entering <s> beside desired SYSMOD(s) and press <enter>
  43. Repeat step #42 if necessary
  44. Enter <continue>
  45. Press <enter>
  46. Press <enter>
  47. Press <enter>
  48. Return to step #18
  49. Choose option 2 – SYSMOD Management
  50. Choose option 1 – Sysmod Install
  51. Enter zone name if necessary and press <enter>
  52. Select Current Step by entering <s> beside selection
  53. Press <enter>
  54. Enter disposition for your output and press <enter>
  55. Enter <continue> and Press <enter>
  56. Press <enter>
  57. Press <enter>
  58. Press <enter>
