Procedure to Create the SMP/E Receive Job for a Cumulative Tape

  1. Make note of the OPTIONS and Source ID from the generated Receive Job
  2. Sign onto SMP/E
  3. Choose option 5 – Receive
  4. Choose option 3 – Cumulative
  5. Verify Option name is correct and press <enter>
  6. Enter your Source ID

    7. Enter Volume Serial of cumulative tape

    Verify TAPE is the unit type

    Enter <SL> for LABEL

    Enter your PTFs dataset in quotes

    Enter your hold dataset in quotes

    Enter <no> for ALL

    Enter <yes> for SELECT

    Press <enter>

  7. Enter <fmid> and press <PF3>
  8. Press <PF3>
  9. Choose option E – Edit
  10. Add region=5m on EXEC card
  11. Add EXPDT=98000 to LABEL=(1,SL)
  12. Add DCB info as needed
  13. Change attributes of HOLDDATA file if necessary
  14. Press <PF3>
  15. Choose option S – Submit
  16. Review output in IOF
