The long
awaited reissue of the "Carnival of Excess" CD is finally set for
release.
The original edition came out back in 1995 and is since long
out of print. I saw it sold on
a auction for $41 recently. It's
definately the most sought after GG Allin cd of 'em all.
I asked Mark
Robinson for some info about the release and this is what he had to
say........
"Yes, COE will
be released on March 1st as a ltd ed. CD with the original mixes.
Its
released through Rockside media. The new CD has GG talking about
how
much he liked the project (he even says that he is "proud of it to
no end")
Also, I'm trying to finish "Carnival of Excess_the video" by March
1st, so they both
will be available at the same time. The covers are
being printed as I type this.
The COE cd will be ltd to 1200 and then
these mixes will be buried.
These are the mixes (with the
exception of "Outskirts of life") that GG heard before he left
Tampa
(in 1991). I always liked them better than what was released
before.
These are a bit more "dirty" When these are gone, that is
it for this release (the old mixes) so,
in a year or so these will
probably go for collectors prices on ebay."
