| Beatty is one of the main characters in the story. He is a fireman who burns books. Beatty feels that books are not important in life. He feels that firemen are like our own official censors, judges, and executers. Beatty is very impressed with Montag because he is not like the other fireman, running around like robots doing the same thing every day. Beatty feels Montag is now going through what he was as a younger person. |
