	Friday, December 14, 2001 Sarasota teen pleads guilty in baseball bat murder The Associated Press SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - A 15-year-old boy who took part in the fatal baseball bat beating of another teen pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder and received a 10-year prison sentence. Frank Tritschler told Frank Wesley McCool's father he wished he hadn't taken part in his son's June 25 slaying. Tritschler led McCool, 16, to Dominic Culpepper's home, where Culpepper allegedly beat McCool to death. Prosecutors say Culpepper, 14, beat McCool because he believed he had stolen a half-pound of marijuana from him. ''I'm sorry for what happened to your son,'' Tritschler sobbed to Randy McCool during Wednesday's hearing, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. ''If I could take that day back, I would.'' McCool told Tritschler he hoped he would find God in prison. Culpepper is scheduled to stand trial next week as an adult on a first-degree murder charge. He faces a possible life sentence. Vincent Norcia, 14, pleaded guilty as a juvenile in August to second-degree murder for helping Tritschler lure McCool to Culpepper's home. Both have agreed to testify against Culpepper.
