Betraying Moon

So thee sang
Betraying moon
Enlighten my sinking soul
Shadow traitor
My only truth

Beware thy moonlit plain
Deceiver of my faith
Thy waning face
Hath cast shadow
Of my truth

Thy guiding light
Once fades to
A most indiscernible hue
Path once lit golden in radiance
Becomes the path to sorrow

Traitor, once my guide
Even you have taken
They pale luminescence
From my downcast visage
Alas, my love, faith be no more

Enraptured by the disease
Aglow with that fiery hatred
I wander another moonless night
Alone with my laden thoughts
My long and moody guardian

Thy tides ebb and flow
