Celtic Song

The rolling hills stretch out before me
Taunting in their beauty true
A challenge that I cannot change
A distance too far to reach for you

I've struggled here in silence
Dancing through a veil of tears
The sea that laps the shoreline
Calls out to me with pearls

The promise of a new life
Petals falling to the wind
On the moonlit ocean
Come washed upon the shore

They stand with crowns of ivy
Blue eyes set deep in fair skin
Blond to reflect the moonlight
Tall to swim the sea

The sidhe(shee) are hidden in shadow
The fairy folk, my ancestry
The Celtic own the legends
History shall set you free

A nymph in an oak grove
Teases an untidy lass
Showing her the beauty
That she could truly have
