By light of downy moon
Sweet dreams restless to this shore
By night, the anxious widow sleeps
Spared by love’s simple amour
For when she arises as the dawn
Her fearful gaze insights the world
Love and light they dance
Overturned by cloudy gray
Until the widow settles
Lighting other worlds
When her lover rises
In the darkness of the night
His light caresses surfaces
That she might never touch
Fated by some evil
The lovers rarely cross
Eclipse into the future
Eclipse of deep remorse
The spectacle of light and love
Caressing in the sky
In a burst of wonder
Touched for one sweet kiss
