Hanging
The hanged man speaks in
hushed tones
Whispering willows rasp together
Trunk against truck, skin against skin
Two souls combined in rushed voices
Wind through the grass, thoughts from golden lips
The creak of a rope, the
slip of a man
Downfall, the guillotine stands, silhouetted in the sky
The quiet riders in the storm ride on
To consult the pearls of wisdom which rain
Falling from the dead, lost, souls, hanging in the wind
Twisting in the last
moments - the dance of the dead
Dark, blue pallor, oxygen lost in meaningless breath
Epitaph - the words scrawled on a tomb
Rest in peace - beware the souls of damned
Ancient tombs silent no longer, the hung man spoke his piece
Who's voice echoes in
hollow walls?
But the hollow voice which echoes in silent minds
Dead minds - the breath and thought still
Limbs do not move, eyes do not roam
Sweet death, key to our freedom, the beginning of the end
We know what we see, we
see what we know
The world is unseen by mortal eyes
The dead, the hanged, the immortal
See a world through cast eyes of enlightenment
The dead follow, the
hanged man sees all, speaking in silence
