Justice

I see burning dreams fall down around me.
Jaded voices echo soundlessly through rooms where eyes once wandered.
I wonder where my eyes have gone.
Lost in indefinite time and space, floating, careening though the sky;
A timeless traveler in an opaque world.

Wanton, yet not despaired, in the derision of our youth.
A tawdry appearance, torn and tattered, and outsider to this constant revelation.
Exempt and vindicate of wrongs done right
Or Rights done wrong? Liberty is bound by the chains of our nation.

The tumult of piety our world portrays, a vehemence of misunderstanding
Solemn are those who feel the wrath of the chains of "Justice"
For Justice is it not, nor Justice will it ever be
To break a man for choice or even illusion
But Justice allows it, for it is not right

Leaders of the past are gone, let them go in peace
They are dead to this new world, this Freedom
They would cry in response to this petty confliction
The chaos extends beyond our borders
Necessity claims hatred ruling our world.

But the world is Good, lies lies lies, everywhere
Our children are dying and nobody cares
They walk and talk but thought is erratic
They see right and wrong, but are blind to consequence

We lay our heads shorn and our hopes crestfallen
Yet, I am still my whimsical self, torn and battered
Sardonic tones of voices stand high in the tall forests of our youth
Is there truly kinship, or are we merely lost?
Ravenous for the blood of the GUILTY
The Guilty Ones.
