Light

The sun draws down over the moon
To give rise to a new day
A dawning of perception
To lead our fears away

From darkness light is rising
Broken shafts of light
Shatter our perception
With ungodly sight

From wisdom found in ages
Tomes of black and white
The tide of truth upon us
Strengthening our pride

Alit with this new power
Mirrored in a flame
The entire nation
Knows from whence it came

Enlightened in the pathway
Steady with resolve
Each step begins a new one
Walking in the sun
