Truth in Future

Everyone is gone
The light is still burning in the attic
Asleep they are, or fallen
Those fallen few in deeper sleep than hope can care to lose
Lost, alone, yet hopeful

I have seen what I have never known
Before my time, before my world
Void of excess and decline
A house where God once reigned
Where god reigns no longer

The world is more beautiful
A horrid memory to put it all in place
I know my mind has wandered
That shall never be explained
But the breeze upon my face is beauty, freedom

They called me crazy, babbling history
In my mind I know the truth
Because the truth lives in me, I saw the truth
Each moment, each breath, lasts a lifetime
For you they last, the lost and lonely souls
