Untitled
In trust freedom was
brooding
A dark chambered cell
In which it hid
Lost from the eyes of a victim
Victimized by fear and
plagued by nightmares
A strange darkness bred
Feeding from the shade and shadows
Of fears renowned from childhood’s past
Apparitions of human
divided
Sides segregated by bolted rusty doors
The key long since gone, missing in her heart
Lost in fathoms of lies and illusions
For this cost they all pay
By death and retribution
Within these walls lies a path
Sweet sin tied to beauty by her arms
Sadness of an angel linked
to God
Arms bound to crucifix, still
The headless saint who stood laughing
Tears of joy on her cheeks
With sightless eyes she
sought her truth
Thought it lost without return
When one is blinded, without feeling
A semblance of failure begins
