ANGELA, ANGELICA, ANGELINA, ANGIE


ANGELA, ANGELICA, ANGELINA, ANGIE are from teh Greek and Latin; the Greek means a messenger and the Latin an angel or heavenly being. Angels were the messengers of God. In ancient Hawaii the messenger of a chief was 'AULANI. This combines two Hawaiian words: 'AU (to travel by sea) and LANI (heavenly).
