Apple Cinnamon Bread Recipe


2 packages dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
2 cups luke warm milk
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons sugar
3 Tablespoons shortening
1 Tablespoon salt
7-8 cups flour

2 cups apples diced
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Disolve the yeast in warm water in a large bowl. Stir in milk, sugar, shortening, salt and four cups of the flour. Mix until smooth. Mix in enough of the remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Place in large bowl and let rise for an hour. Divide dough into two parts and let rise for an hour. Divide dough into two parts and roll dough into a rectangle. Add apples, cinnamon and sugar and put onto rolled out dough. roll up the dough and put into a greased loaf pan and let rise for one more hour. Heat ove to 425 degrees. Place loaves on the low rack so that the tops of pans are in the center of the oven and do not touch. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Or when it sounds hallow when tapped. Imediately remove from pans. Glaze with two cups of powdered sugar to two Tablespoons of water.

Makes Two Loaves of Bread.
