A Time In Our Life




There's a day that we're born and a day we shall die
There's a time in our life when we must say good-bye
But there's a time when we remember
All the things that we've learned
From the days of our youth and from parenthood
Parents are special when they're teaching you right
Helping you learn and staying in Gods light
They teach you and rear you and show you the way
Hoping and praying you'll turn out okay
When you learn things from in your youth
You grow up stronger with lots of truth
We must show appreciation to our parents while they live
We must overlook their mistakes and always forgive
Because the day will come when we're all grown up
And you'll stand in their stead and know how tough
Life isn't easy we must all realize
We all make mistakes and some make us cry
Lets try to go through life and make others happy here
Forget about holding grudges and we'll shed less tears
No matter what people do to you
Let's just turn our cheeks and keep the commandments too
We all make mistakes we're not perfect in any way
Let's all be forgiving and learn how to pray
Then we'll learn to have more loving hearts
God will be with us as he always was from our very start
And he'll be forever happy because we loved one another too
These are the things in life the things we ought to do.
