Despair




When we're down and in despair
We get a feeling like we just don't care
We're then in our deepest darkest hour
Things then just don't ever seem to matter
You feel so frustrated you just want to die
You must pray to the Father from up on high
Father in Heaven will comfort you
Just turn to prayer when you're feeling blue
He's anxious to help you during these times of despair
He loves you my child he always cares
So when life gets you down and you're feeling blue
Just know in your heart there's someone for you
In time your tears will go away
You'll soon be happy with each passing day
One day you'll look back at your trials
You'll be a much better person
And you'll be wearing a smile
For being strong through the hard times in life
When your heart was full of nothing but heartache and strife
Sometimes your hardships will help a fellow friend
Then you'll know your life wasn't in vain
When you're down be careful with what you do
Because there's one around us who wants us fooled
He makes you feel no self worth and whispers half truths
Then he makes us fall so that he can laugh at you
Satan is the master of evilness and pain
He's there to trick us so we won't have any gain
But you know at the end of our troubled life
There's something greater no more pain or strife
We must always put our faith in one who really cares
If it weren't for God we wouldn't be here
He's given us our life, he's given us more then a friend
He said he'll be with us if we will only let him in
He'll never leave us lonely he's with us till the end
He's given us Jesus he's more then a loving friend
He loves us so dearly during our time of despair
He's rooting for us to win because he really does care.
