Learn To Be A Friend




It's a shame you couldn't trust me
And learn to be a friend
The jealousy and insecurity
Has done us in at the end
It came between us
And destroyed what could have been
Because of the lacking trust
And learning to be a friend
What a sad thing to think
All of this was for naught
Because in your mind
You had things that were corrupt
It's hard to convince a person to believe
Because of the bad thoughts that only deceived
Satan is the master mind
To make people think bad thoughts
And be so very unkind
But if we are doing all our best
The Lord would have shown us the rest
But with lack of faith
It could never be
This you can now understand and believe
What a shame to end things this way
After going on from day to day
Trying to help each other
And touching their life
It just turned out so unfair
Full of nothing but strife
But as we both know
No matter what
Life goes on
And we pick up
The peices that were shattered
Will some day mend
Then we'll learn next time
To be a better friend.
