Lies




Often times we wonder
Why people have to lie
They come into you life
And always make you cry
These lies are so damaging
They hurt relationships too
It takes away all your trust
They make you feel like a fool
All because they couldn't be
Honest from the very start
The things they said
Never came from deep within their heart
The lies that people tell
Don't only hurt themselves
It destroys the lives of their loved ones
This we know so very well
So why do people have to lie
And cheat their fellow men
They only make enemies
And never any friend
Our little white lies always turn to black
If we don't be careful
We get caught in Satan's little trap
Oh what a wicked web we weave
When we first practice to deceive
So now that you know
A lie is not the way to go
It's best to be honest
And always set a goal
To build our trust in others
And get their honor too
Lets always be honest
That's the best we could ever do.
