Driving down the freeway
Watching the cars passing by
Gazing into heaven
Looking at the deep blue sky
Thinking about my sweetheart
Wondering if he's doing well
Thoughts are of him daily
Not a day it ever fails
Driving down the freeway
Watching the night turning into nigh
Looking up into the heavens
At the stars upon the sky
Thinking about my sweetheart
Wishing he were ever near
Praying for his safety
With nothing to ever fear
Thinking about my sweetheart
Regardless of the time
Thoughts are of him daily
Waiting till the day he shall be mine
Reminiscing and thinking back
On all our times we've talked and shared
The joys and pains of life
And loving and showing that we cared
Nothing could be greater
Then having an honest friend
Someone you can trust
And knowing he'll be there in the end
When you need him in your life
He can be counted on in every way
Always there with a smile on
Like a rainbow on a rainy day
He never fails to bless your life
With the simple things he does
The things that mean the most
The things that always was
Important in your daily life
Making you forget the every day trials
Knowing too that when life is done
All our days were all worthwhile
Because there was one who cared
Who brought a little sunshine in my day
Making all my life full of happiness
What more could I ever say
The everlasting love of God
Has come through my dear friend
I love him so very dearly
There will never be an end
My hopes and dreams in my daily life
Have finally reached an end
All because of a dear and special someone
Who was more than a special friend.
