Yellow Cake

1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon lemon extract
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Stir flour, baking powder and salt together and add to creamed mixture. Add milk and flavoring. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.
