Nick stepped into the hot shower, letting the water flow onto his face, trying to erase the sight he had seen earlier that upset him so much. Although it was horrible, he was comforted that he had Brian. He couldn’t possibly let him know that this was somehow a relief to him. Amanda was really getting on his nerves and he had been thinking about ending it numerous times, but when he saw how much in love Leighanne was with Brian, he had to focus on someone to keep his mind off of Brian. The recent tour had really changed things though, or at least he hoped. They had spent a lot of time together away from their girlfriends and their frequent intimate times together had become more meaningful and emotional. Previously, they would just satisfy each other and that was it. Now, it was different. They would lay there for hours, just holding each other and talking about everything. Maybe his breakup with Amanda was fate; maybe he was supposed to be at Brian’s house, with Brian.
As soon as Brian heard the water stop running from Nick’s shower he headed upstairs to the room and lit some candles before Nick would come out. He popped the movie in the VCR but didn’t turn it on yet. He wanted to talk to Nick first…Brian continued to light candles thinking about Nick and what he should do about his feelings. He couldn’t fight them any longer and knew he had to tell Leighanne the truth, but tonight, he was here with Nick and Nick needed him to be there for him.
“Whatcha doin’? Nick said as he stepped out of the bathroom only wearing his boxers. This wasn’t a surprise, Brian knew Nick was always most comfortable just in his boxers, but the sight of him standing there, his hair still damp, his naked chest exposed, turned Brian on. “Oh, I was just trying to set a calming mood for you…”Brian said as he turned around and sat down on his bed. “Do you wanna talk about it?” Nick walked slowly over to the bed and sat down next to Brian. “I don’t know Bri, there’s not much left to say, I’m through with her and I guess I’m kinda happy it’s over with, that relationship has caused me mostly pain.” Nick said looking down. “ I guess I just wish I could finally be with someone who I can completely trust and who I completely love…” Nick’s words trailed off as he raised his head to look deep into Brian’s eyes. Brian broke the stare quickly trying not to let his emotions take over him. “ Nick, I wanted to talk to you about something too. Leighanne and I got into a really big fight tonight.” “Really? Are you ok Rok? What happened?” Nick said placing his hand on Brian’s shoulder. Brian looked at it, and then glanced back up to meet Nick’s blue eyes. “I don’t know what happened, or what’s been happening.” Brian said as he stood up and walked towards the window, the rain still pouring down. “ I thought I loved her, but when we’re on the road she barely crosses my mind…I mean, we always have so much to do…” Nick smiled at Brian’s slip and knew what he was referring to, he felt the same way when he was away from Amanda, being with Brian consumed him lately, and he needed nothing more than him. “ Then tonight, she starts talking about a commitment and…I’m just not in love with her anymore.” Brian said, staring out into the rain, deciding what he should tell Nick next. Brian suddenly felt Nick’s arms wrapped around him and Nick standing close behind him. “ Bri, I want to be with you more than anything else in the world.” Nick said, letting Brian feel his breath against his ear. Brian slowly turned around to face Nick. “ Really? I didn’t know what…” Nick interrupted him “ The last couple weeks have meant so much to me, and I’ve realized that neither of us will be happy if we don’t admit to what’s happening between us.” Brian reached his hand up to Nick’s face and brushed his thumb slowly along Nick’s lower lip. “Nicky, I think I’m falling in love with you…” Brian replaced his hand with his soft, tender kiss. He pressed his lips first lightly against Nick’s, pulling away then going back for more of his mouth, before sucking lightly on his lower lip. As their bodies came closer together with each touch Nick deepened the kiss, drugging his soft lips along Brian’s. Nick slowly let his tongue slip past Brian’s lips, letting his tongue massage Brian’s. Nick ran his fingers through Brian’s hair, pulling his neck closer to deepen his kisses. Brian gripped onto Nick’s arms, running his hands along them softly and slowly. There was no room for words now; their bodies were expressing all that they wanted to say. |
