~Chapter 1~

"We?re here," exclaimed Michelle as she removed her sunglasses and unbuckled
her seat belt.
"It?s about time," said Brandi in a whiney voice.
The girls just drove from their hometown in Cali, to here, Orlando, Florida.
Its August 2001, two months after the girls have graduated highschool and
they decided to start a new life here in Florida. Michelle received a full
scholarship to attend the University of Central Florida to study physical
therapy and Brandi just signed a big modeling contract and will begin to
model for Ralph Lauren in the near future. Brandi and Shells have been the
best of friends since they can remember and are very excited to live here in
Orlando.

They each stepped out of Michelle?s brand new blue Chevy Tracker and faced
toward their new home.
"I am so in love with this house," Michelle stated.
"Me too," said Brandi.

Their parents bought them this house as a graduation present. Who wouldn?t
love it? It was right on the beach. They each had their own gigantic
bedroom. Brandi?s was upstairs and it had a balcony, which gave the most
beautiful view of the ocean. Michelle?s bedroom was downstairs and opened up
to a deck that was right on the beach. Each of their bedrooms had its own
bathroom as well. The house also included two living rooms, another
bathroom, a huge kitchen, a pool, and the best part, a hot tub. The girls
described is as the ?"ultimate party house!"

"It?s going to take a week to unpack," Michelle said jokingly as they each
walked through the door carrying boxes and suitcases.
"When do you start school?" Brandi asked.
"Not until next week, but I start lifeguarding tomorrow and work at the
store the day after."
"I don?t start modeling until Friday," Brandi said.
"And your birthday is Thursday, the big 18! And I know exactly what I?m
gonna get you," Michelle exclaimed as she grinned evilly.
"You don?t need to get my anything."
"You?ll take that back when you see your present."
"It better not be some male stripper or something like that," Brandi
chuckled.

They each headed to their rooms cause they had a lot of unpacking to do.
They knew it would probably take all night, so they started early. By 12:00
am Brandi was already fast asleep. Michelle picked up the phone and dialed
seven familiar numbers.
"Hello?" a guy?s voice answered on the other line.
"Hey baby, how ya doing?" Michelle asked in an excited voice.
"Okay I guess, but I miss you already!"
"I miss you too Sean! I don?t know how I am going to make it here without
you."

Michelle and Sean have been going out since their sophomore year in
highschool and they really loved each other a lot. Despite the fact that
most long distance relationships never work, they were determined to make
theirs work. They talked on the phone until 3:00 am, until Michelle decided
she better get some sleep cause she needed to get up at 8:00 am for work.

"Bye baby! I love you," Michelle said sleepily.
"I love you too hun," Sean said as the hung up on each other.
Michelle grabbed the stuffed teddy bear Sean gave her when they were 15, put
on her and Sean?s song "It?s Your Love," by Tim McGraw, and sank into her
big comfy bed.

The next few days went great. Michelle?s lifeguarding job and cashiering job
at Aeropostale were awesome. She really enjoyed it. Brandi had fun relaxing
at home with the free time she had before her modeling job would start.
It was now Thursday, Brandi?s birthday. Michelle had to pick up her present
on the way home from work and then the two were going to go out to eat at
some fancy restaurant.

"I?m home," shouted Michelle. "Get down here Brandi!"
Brandi raced down the stairs. She was wearing a short black skirt, a baby
blue tank top that showed her naval, and black sandals.
"Here, open it, and Happy 18th Birthday" Michelle said as she handed Brandi
a huge box wrapped in pink paper with a purple bow.
Brandi carefully opened the box to find a tiny, cute, black terrier puppy.
"Oh my god! Shells you shouldn?t have!" "Well you always wanted a little
puppy so I thought this would be perfect."
"It?s like the best present you could have gotten me! I?m going to name here
Baby!"
"Aww that?s a cute name for her! Well I am going to get changed and then we
can leave."

Michelle went to her room and noticed her cell phone had two messages from
Sean.
"I?ll call him later," she said to herself.
She quick changed into a short khaki skirt, a yellow halter-top that exposed
her pierced naval, and white platform sandals. Her beautiful curly, brown
hair laid softly on her shoulders. She took a quick look in the mirror,
grabbed her bag and walked out of her room.

"Yo, ya ready Brandi?"
"I don?t want to leave Baby," Brandi said as she made a sad face.
"We?ll only be gone for a little, besides we need to get familiar with this
city," Michelle yelled!
"And find some hotties," Brandi giggled.
"Hey my hottie is back in Cali," Michelle sighed as she pet Baby.
"So you and Sean are really going to try and work through this long distance
relationship thing?" Brandi asked.
"Hopefully," Michelle said in a sad tone of voice.
The girls hopped in Brandi?s silver Convertible, put in one of their fave
CD?s, O-town, and began to sing along with "Liquid Dreams" as they drove
off...

~Chapter 2~
*About a Week Later*

Michelle had started college. She loves it, even though she doesn?t have a
lot of free time anymore because she?s always busy with studying, projects,
and her two jobs. Brandi started her modeling job and loved every second if
it. In fact that night she was going to this huge modeling party, and was
told there would be many respectable people there that could further her
career. She had to make a good impression on these modeling agents.

Michelle changed into a white tank top, mesh shorts, pulled her hair up into
a loose bun, and put on her glasses. She sat down on the couch with a bottle
of water and a ton of books. She was in for a busy night of work.

"Here I come," exclaimed Brandi.
Brandi walked down the steps wearing a navy blue gown with sparkles all over
it and was showing major cleavage.
"Wow, you look beautiful," Michelle said.
"Really? Thanks! I am so nervous!" Brandi mumbled.
"Don?t be nervous, you?ll be fine," Michelle reassured her, while giving her
a hug.
"Bye Shells!" Brandi said as she walked out the door. Oh by the way Sean
called you earlier on."
"What, why didn?t you tell me?" Michelle screamed as she ran to the phone to
call him.
Brandi smiled, then walked out to her silver Mustang convertible. She got
in, and began driving to the party.

?I can't believe Brandi never told me!? Michelle thought to herself, as she
dialed Sean's number.

"Hey baby!" Michelle said.
"Hey sweetheart, how's it going?" Sean asked.
"Okay, I wish you were here though!" Michelle said.
"Me too, but I got to go! I'll call you later tonight, kay?"
"Umm...okay?" Michelle said with a frown.
"Okay bye!"
"Bye," She replied as they hung up.

?That was weird!? She thought to herself. She walked back to the living
room, and started reading her books again.

Brandi got to the party, and had valet park her car. She walked out and
there were cameras going off. Brandi walked in, and what she saw was
amazing. She looked around, and finally saw someone she actually knew!
"Richard!" Brandi yelled.
"There's my new star!" Richard replied, as he kissed both of her cheeks.

Richard was the photographer that had started working with Brandi, since she
signed on to Ralph L.

"Brandi!"
Brandi turned around.
"Hi Steven!" Brandi said, as she hugged him.
"How are you? Enjoying yourself I presume?"
"Yeah! It's amazing!"
"Well, get use to it! There will be tons more parties like these!"
Brandi smiled.
"Well, thanks to you I get to be in this atmosphere!" Brandi laughed. "You
are the one that signed me in the first place! Thank you so much!" Brandi
said, as she hugged him again.
"Well Brandi Love, you deserve every minute of what you are going to
experience!" Steven said.
Brandi smiled.
"Umm...excuse me," She said as she squeezed her way through the crowd, and
to the wine bar.

She slowly walked towards the bar, when she accidentally bumped into a guy
with sunglasses on and dread locks in his hair.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry!" She said, as she looked at him, then continued
towards the bar.

"Can I help you Miss?" The bartender asked.
"Yeah, I'll just have some white wine please,"
"Alright, there ya go," The bartender said, gently handing her the glass.

Brandi turned around and noticed that the guy that she bumped into was on
stage.
She walked through the people, back to where Richard was.
"Got some sweet wine, did ya Love?" Richard asked.
Brandi nodded, "Uh huh"

"And now performing Liquid Dreams...O-Town!" The speaker announced.

Meanwhile...
?Why the hell would he do that?? Michelle kept asking herself.? Maybe he is
sick of the long-distance relationship! Maybe he found someone better!
Ahhhh?

She finally decided she would go have a nice, warm, bubble bath to help her
calm down. She knew that Sean would never cheat on her. No matter where they
were in the world! She knew that Sean was the one, so everything should be
okay, she just needed a bath.

An hour had past, and Brandi was getting kind of tired. She decided she
would walk around to see if she could scope out any other celebrities there.
She already saw Jennifer Love Hewitt; maybe she would see someone else? She
hoped that one day she would become famous and be on thousands of magazines
all over the world, but right now all she could do is look around for the
ones who are on all of those magazines. She turned around and then turned
back around to find the O-town guy just in front of her. Brandi tripped not
knowing what would happen.

"Oh my god," Brandi said.
"Got ya!" He replied.
"Thank you!" Brandi said, standing up again.
"Your quite welcome, hey didn't you accidentally bump into me earlier?"
"Yeah! I think I did, I'm sorry," Brandi said.
"Don't worry about it! It's okay."
"So yeah, you O-Town guys are pretty good," Brandi said, changing the
subject.
"Awe thanks! Let me guess you are..."
"I'm a model." Brandi said, cutting him off.
"You are? I could've guessed that!"
"Oh yeah? Why is that? Is it my hair?" Brandi said giggling.
"Well...it's how pretty you are, and well your not just pretty...you?re
pretty hot!"
"Aww...thanks you?re a sweetheart..."
"Jacob, it's Jacob, he said shaking her hand,"
"I'm Brandi Love Thomas,"
"Really? That?s a sweet name," Jacob replied.
"Thank you," Brandi replied, smiling.

"Jake! Jake!" A guy from O-Town yelled at him. "We got to go!"
"Looks like you should go," Brandi said.
"Yeah..."
"Hey, here's my phone number... "Brandi said as she took a pen and a piece
of paper out of her purse and wrote down her number.
"Call me!"
"I will!" Jacob said, as he caught up with the other guys.

Brandi smiled then saw Steven, and decided to go chat with him.

It was now almost 3:15 am, and Brandi finally walked though the front door.
She walked in quietly because she knew that Shells would be sleeping.
"It's okay, you don't have to be quiet." Michelle said.
"Michelle! What are you doing up!? You should be in bed! You have like class
in the morning!"
"I couldn't sleep," Michelle replied, staring into space and petting Baby.
"What do you mean you couldn't sleep? You are sooo lying! What?s up?" Brandi
asked as she put her purse down onto the counter, and walked over to
Michelle.
"Actually I am lying, I didn't even try to go to sleep!"
"Why not?" Brandi said, sitting down.
"Ooh, I don't know! I called Sean, and he said he had to go, without even
talking to me for like 2 minutes! ...But he did say that he would call
back..."
"Oh my gosh...he didn't call did he," Brandi said, as she looked at Baby.
"Does it look like it? I would be sleeping if he did!"
"Okay calm down gurl,"
"Oooh...Brandi I'm sorry! I'm...just...just...pissed off!" Michelle yelled
as her eyes filled with tears.
"Shells it's okay! He will call, maybe he just got really busy and was
called to work!"
"I don?t know?? Michelle replied, now crying.
"Well we will talk about everything tomorrow, just try and get some sleep
okay hun?" Brandi said.
"Yeah I guess you're right." Michelle said.

They both got up and walked to their bedrooms.
"Baby!" Brandi yelled.
Baby ran towards Brandi, and she picked her up and started going upstairs,
when Michelle yelled at Brandi.

"Yeah?" Brandi said, still with Baby in her arms.
"Did you have fun tonight?" She asked.
"Yeah!" Brandi said with a smile.
"Get any numbers?"
"Nope, but I gave him mine!"

~Chapter 3~
Brandi walked up the stairs with baby in her arms. Michelle knew she had to
try and get some sleep or she?d be dead tried in class the next day. She got
up from the couch and started to gather her books when the phone rang.
Michelle?s first thought was...?its Sean!? She immediately dropped her books
and ran to the phone.

?Hello?? Michelle asked anxiously.
?Is this Brandi?? a guy?s voice asked on the other end.
?Oh, hold on,? Michelle said in disappointment.
?Brandi, you?re wanted on the phone,? Michelle screamed up the steps.
?Who would be calling me at 3:30 am?? Brandi said to herself.
?Hello??
?Brandi??
?Yes this is her, who?s calling??
?It?s Jacob, we met earlier on tonight. Remember??
?How could I forget?? Brandi said quietly to herself.
?What?? Jacob asked.
?Nothing, I wasn?t expecting you to call.?
?I know it?s late and everything. I was just wondering if you would like to
do something tomorrow night, if you don?t have plans or anything. Just go
out for pizza, nothing fancy, then I could bring ya back here to meet the
guys.?
?Really? I?d love to.?
?I?m going to meet O-Town,? she thought to herself.
?I?ll pick you up around 7:00, what?s your address?? Jacob asked.
?201 Ocean Ave,? Brandi replied.
?Wow, cool that?s only about 10 minutes from our house. We?ll I?ll see you
tomorrow then.?
?Goodnight Jacob.?
?Sweet dreams Ms. Brandi Love.?

Brandi hung up the phone in excitement, but yet total shock. She didn?t
expect Jacob to call her back. She was overjoyed! She could not believe she
was going out with thee Jacob Underwood.
?Wait until I tell Michelle,? she thought to herself as she got under the
covers of her big, warm bed.

*The Next Day*
It was 6:00 pm and Michelle was just about to walk through the door of the
house. She had a long, exhausting day. She only got four hours of sleep,
then had class for 9:00 am to 2:00 in the afternoon. Then she had to
lifeguard at the local pool from 2:30 to 5:30. Not to mention Sean had been
on her mind all day long. She was really looking forward to a relaxing
evening. She walked into the kitchen a piled her books on the table.

?Brandi, i?m home!? Michelle shouted.
?Hey Shells,? Brandi said excitedly as she walked into the kitchen.

She was wearing studded flare jeans, a short navy blue baby tee, cute white
sneakers that went along great with her outfit, and her perfect brown hair
laid nicely over her shoulders.

?What are you up to?? Michelle asked eagerly.
?I have a date!? Brandi answered.
?With who??
?You wouldn?t believe me if I told you.?
?Try me.?
?Okay, Jacob Underwood!?
?Jacob Underwood? The O-Town Jacob Underwood? The Making the Band Jacob
Underwood??
?Yes, yes, and yes!?
?Are you joking?? Michelle asked.
?No, I swear! I met him last night at the party.?
?Oh my god, why didn?t you tell me??
?You were so upset about Sean, it didn?t seem right for me to tell you.
?You still should have told me! You are so lucky!?
?I?m so excited!? Brandi exclaimed.
?You should be! Get me an autograph!? Michelle laughed.

A horn beeped outside of the girls? house.

?That?s for me!? Brandi shouted.
?Bye sweetie, have fun!?
?Bye Shells!?

*About 2 hours later*
Michelle was lounging on the deck watching the sunset over the ocean when
the phone rang. She ran inside to get it.

?Hello??
?Michelle?? a voice on the other end asked.
?Sean! Hey!?
?Hi sweetie, how are ya??
?Okay I guess, but I miss you so much Sean!?
?I need to talk to you,? Sean said in a serious voice.
?About what??
?This is really hard for me to say, but I will get right to the point, so
please just listen to me for a few minutes. I think it would be best if we
gave our relationship a rest for awhile.?
?You?re breaking up with me?? Michelle asked in a sad voice.
?Hold on let me finish. I never knew a long distance relationship would be
so hard. I miss you Shells. It hurts not to be able to hold you and kiss
you. I miss everything about you! And I know you miss me too! It just isn?t
fair to either of us to hurt like this. You have your new life down there in
Florida and I still have mine here in Cali.?
?But why Sean, why??
?I just think it would be best.?
?Is there another girl??
?NO, don?t even think that!?
?Then what Sean? What did I do??
?You didn?t do anything! Michelle, I love you and always will, just remember
that! I have to go but I will call you next week sometime and if you need
anything call me.?
?I need you Sean!?
?Bye sweetie!? Sean said as he hung up the phone.

Michelle hung up the phone and broke into tears. She didn?t know what just
happened. The love of her life, the guy she thought she would possibly marry
someday just broke up with her. Her and Sean have been through everything
the past three years and she could not picture her life without him.

*In The Meantime*
?Thanks for dinner,? Brandi said as her and Jacob got into his PT cruiser.
?You are very welcome, but I wouldn?t call a slice of pizza dinner.? Jacob
said jokingly.
Brandi giggled, ?Well it was good.?
?NYPD Pizza, gotta love it! The best restaurant in Orlando.? Jacob
exclaimed.

The two talked about everything and anything during dinner and were hitting
it off quite well. Jacob then pulled into the driveway of his house.

?Woah, I thought me and Michelle?s house was big.?
Brandi and Jacob both got out of the car and the two of them walked up to
the front door, and Jacob led her inside. When they got inside, the rest of
the four guys were all sitting around the TV chillin' (it was not that often
they were able to do it, so they were enjoying their time).

"Guys, this is Brandi Love Thomas," Jacob said as they took off their shoes.
"0h hey Brandi, i'm Trevor, that's Erik, Dan, and over there is Ashley, who
is now getting up,"
"Nice to me you guys!" Brandi said smiling.
"Want me to give you a tour?" Jacob asked.
"Sure!" Brandi replied as Jacob led her off down the hall.

Meanwhile Michelle was still sitting in her chair. The sun was down now and
she was still outside crying. She didn't know what else she should do. Her
life was over. Sean was everything to her, and now she had no one, except
Brandi and her family. She didn't have anyone to love or adore.
"Fuck me!" Michelle said getting up.
She walked inside the house, and went to the kitchen and got herself a drink
of water. All of a sudden Baby came running up to her. "Aww Baby," Michelle
said.
Baby just looked up at her, in her cute little puppy-dog face.
Michelle smiled, then drank her water. She then walked into her bedroom, and
plopped down on her bed. She slowly shut her eyes, and fell fast asleep.

"This place is really nice!" Brandi said to Jacob, after he had shown her
everything.
"Thanks!" Jacob said.
"Umm i'm gonna go to the bathroom, i'll be back, okay?" Brandi said.
"Yeah sure!" Jacob said.

Brandi walked down the hall to the bathroom and she saw Ashley in his room
lying down on his bed.
Brandi gently knocked on his door.
"Ashley?" Brandi asked.
"Yeah, where's Jake?" Ashley asked.
"He's out there, and i'm suppose to be going to the bathroom, but I saw you
in here and wanted to see what you were doing," Brandi replied.
"Well, i'm just, just thinking."
"Oh my gosh, that it such a cute picture of you guys!" Brandi said, as she
walked over to his nightstand.
"Haha, you like it? That was the first day, we actually became O-Town, and
the first day Dan joined us,"
Brandi smiled.
"Oh there is another really funny one of us, it's over there." Ashley said
getting up and walked towards his dresser. Brandi followed.
"See?" Ashley said, holding up a picture of the five of them, when they were
at a party and were all wrecked.
"Haha! Look at Dan!" Brandi said as Ashley handed her the picture. "That?s
funny! "
"Yeah it was awesome that night, except for Dan, he had a little bit to
much, if ya know what I mean." Ashley said while laughing.
"Haha, yeah I know," Brandi said.
They both laughed and then looked up towards each other. They locked eyes,
and it seemed like that they were in a strange situation, but neither of
them cared. Brandi kept looking in Ashley's eyes, and for some reason,
couldn't stop. Ashley couldn't either.

"Hey! Brandi? What are you doing in here? Anyways do you guys want to come
watch a movie?" Jacob asked.
"Yeah sure!" They both said.
"Okay then." Jacob replied, as he waited for Brandi to come out.

They then watched the movie, and even though Jacob and her were cuddling,
Brandi still would look over at Ashley and seen him staring at her. She
would smile, and then they would continue watching the movie.

The movie was finally over and it was about 1:30 am.
"Well I should take ya home," Jacob said to Brandi.
"Yeah. " Brandi replied.
"Alright"
"Okay, so i'll see you guys!" Brandi said, as she walked over and slipped
her shoes on.
"Yeah! Nice meeting you, Brandi!" Erik said.
"You too Erik! Bye!"
"Bye!"

Jacob then drove Brandi home and walked her to the door.
"You guys have a nice place, and i've only seen the outside!" Jacob said to
Brandi, just outside her front door.
"Thanks, Michelle and I love it here!"
"I'm sure you?s do!"
Brandi giggled. "Well thanks for dinner and stuff."
"No problem! It was my pleasure! Maybe if you're free tomorrow, you?d want
to come to like the club or something. It's our last night off, and after
tomorrow night we have to go to the studio to record."
"Jacob, i'd love to!" Brandi replied.
"Great! So i'll pick you up at say 10:00?"
"Yeah, sounds great!"
"Tight!" He then kissed her on the cheek, and started walking back into his
car. "Oh! And you should bring what?s her name?"
"Michelle?!"
"Yeah! Bring her!" Jacob yelled.
"Okay! See you tomorrow!" Brandi said as she walked into her house and
locked the door.
