Eternal Love
Michael looked up from his computer as he heard his door open and then close. There stood his angel….his life….his love in all of her glory and light with her bright smile. Standing behind her was Flavia, his newest recruit. ‘Their’ newest recruit he thought with a small feeling of satisfaction. Nikita did not know it yet but Operations and Madeline had teamed them together to train Flavia thinking that the mixture of Michael and Nikita would greatly benefit section and make her the operative that they desired.
Nikita stepped away from Flavia and went to stand beside Michael’s side still a little unsure of what his approach would be to this recruit. ‘oh he had plenty of techniques to gain recruits positive behavior’ she admitted to herself remembering her recruit days.

“Why were you out of your room?” Michael asked after studying Flavia for a moment.

She was undecidedly nervous and furiously embarrassed at being caught. She had never been caught shadowing someone in her former life and the fact that this ‘bitch’ had caught her bothered and angered her to no end.

“I I wanted to see where I am’ Flavia stammered blushing to a deep magenta.

“Why were you watching this office?” Michael continued his suscispisons continually being confirmed that he had yet another recruit on his hands that was ‘lusting’ after him.

Flavia remained silent not answering. She looked Nikita in the eye and stared deep into them not finding any emotion at all. Her eyes were as blank as her new trainers.
‘Jeez, I will never become like that’ Flavia vowed to herself.

“Nikita” Michael drawled seductively on purpose. Perhaps to put Flavia in her place, perhaps to reassure Nikita that she was his and he was hers. “Call birkoff and tell him to assign Flavia Level D Quarters.”

Nikita nodded as she pulled her phone out and dialed the number automatically.

“Bird” Nikita asked.

“Yes” the voice on the other end answered.

“Request for new recruit quarters on level d” Nikita replied.

Birkoff’s hands flew over the keys until he reached level D. There was only one more quarter space confinement not occupied.

“Level D, Sector 19, Room 9B” Birkoff said as he hung up.

“Got it” Nikita told Michael as she hung up.

Michael turned back to Flavia, “Nikita will escort you to your new quarters; you are to stay there until your training which will begin tomorrow morning 5am.”

Michael and Nikita stood looking into each others eyes for a moment emotions flying through them that only the other half of them could see.
Nikita opened the door and led Flavia out and headed for the level D staircase.

As Nikita and Flavia neared the room to flavia’s new quarters Flavia suddenly smiled to herself mischievously.

Within a minute she had her fingers pressed against Nikita’s neck pushing down brutally with the force and intention to kill bruising the flesh there until it turned black and blue.

Nikita gasped for air right before she threw her hands backwards and threw flavia over her head to land her on her back on the cold metal of the floor.

Flavia was in shock. How could someone so fragile and wimpy looking as Nikita have that kind of strength in their arms? It was impossible? What? Was she on steroids or what?

Nikita narrowed her eyes at the younger woman still gasping in shock, “try it again and see how long you live” Nikita warned.
She dragged the younger woman up by the arm while punching in her security code to enter the room.
Nikita threw Flavia in the room before following her in. She circled her prey like. “Not very smart” Nikita commented.

“What?” Flavia asked sincerely confused now.

If you want to survive here you have to follow the rules of survival” Nikita answered.

“The rules of survival?” Flavia sneered. “I’ve been living those for the past 8 years. How do you think I survived this long?” she asked mockingly.

“The rules or survival are different here. You’ll soon learn them” Nikita replied as she exited the room making sure the door was securely locked.

Nikita left and headed back to Michaels office to see what he needed her for.
She knocked lightly before stepping inside and going to sit down.

“ You needed to see me?” she asked.

Michael smiled inwardly to himself. He had not spoken in words to tell her that he needed to talk to her but in mind-almost psychic like but nevertheless she knew he needed to talk to her.

“Yes” he replied, “Madeline and Operations have decided that both of us will train Flavia” he announced.

“Why?” she asked.

“They believe that the mixture of our skills will make her an excellent operative that will be to the section’s liking” Michael explained.

Nikita smiled, “Of course.” And she got up to leave but before exiting through the door something made her turn around.

‘Are we still on for tonight?’ her eyes inquired.

Michael’s eyes returned to hers with a sad look and she knew that it was not going to happen. “Briefing in 10 minutes” he said.

Nikita nodded and left the office.
