1987 - Los Angeles, Hong Kong and San Francisco
This trip was the very first family trip I went on. Although it wasn't my first time being on a plane (that was when I immigrated from Hong Kong to Canada), it was my first time by memory to be on a plane. It was also the first time I went back to Hong Kong since I left.
The first stop, from what I remember was L.A. I got to go to Disneyland for the very first time! I was sooo excited! My family also spent a day at SeaWorld. From L.A, we took a flight to Hong Kong. It was so nice seeing my relatives again! Boy did me and my sister get spoiled on this trip! During my stay in Hong Kong, I spent a lot of time with my cousin Rita (who is my best friend... but wasn't my best friend then..). This is probably when she gained a sudden interest in my wardrobe and began borrowing my clothes! haha! After Hong Kong, we went to San Francisco, where I got to see the Golden Gate Bridge and walk down Lumbard Street. I remember wanted to walk all the way across the Golden Gate Bridge but due to time constraints, my parents made me turn around after walking half way across. After that, I vowed to return and walk across the whole bridge!!
