December 2000 - Florida
This was the second time I spent Christmas in Florida. It never feels like Christmas without snow! It took us two days to get down there. The first day we were in Florida, we went to Downtown Disney. They had this wicked Lego land where everything was made of Lego! It was awesome (I love Lego!!). Then we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. After dinner, I dared my sister to eat a lemon... she dared me back! Man was that a sour lemon!
On Christmas day, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Ah.. memories! We went on a bunch of rides, including Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, It's A Small World (my fav!!), .. and the list goes on! That night, after passing by many people holding these giant turkey drumsticks... i decided to get... 3! haha! No.. they weren't all for me! That would make me a piggie!!
The next day we went to MGM studios. I went buck-wild taking pictures with and of Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and Eeyore. Eeyore was my fav.. he was so cute.. he even kissed my hand! What a gentle-donkey! haha! That night, we went to this restaurant called the '50s Prime Time Cafe. I've seen this restaurant the last time I went with my family and I remember really wanting to go there. It was so kewls! All the waitresses there were are "mom"'s or "aunt"'s! It was quite an experience! The inside was decorated like a 50's kitchen.. it was like I had stepped onto the set of Leave It To Beaver or something! It was awesome!
The Animal Kingdom was next on our agenda! It was my frist time going there. It was not as fun as the other parks but it was an experience! We got to see a really funny 3D Bug's Life movie! We also went on this safari (it was sorta like African Lion Safari... but not that up close and personal with the animals). We only spent half day there. For the other half, we headed over to my favorite theme park.. Epcot!! Over there, we ate dinner there and watched the lazer/fireworks show.
On New Year's Eve we headed over to Epcot (yet again.. I luv that place!!). We first headed over to the The Land attraction and had lunch with the Disney Characters! That was so much fun!!! We kept mixing up Chip and Dale... haha! After lunch, Jimmy and I spent the rest of the afternoon travelling all over the world! We went to Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, stopped by the US, Japan, Morocco, France, England, jumped into Canada for a bit, then headed back to the states.. whew! haha! I'm just kidding.. we didn't go to all those countries! Those countries had pavillions in the World Showcase at Epcot. One of the reasons why I love it there so much.. you can "travel the world" for the price of the admission to Epcot! :) I even checked out the Innovations display where I sent electronic postcards to people (u know who u are! haha). Since it was New Year's Eve, the park was handing out hats and noise makers! I got a few... man.. the park was just buzzing with those noise makers! *wheet!!* haha! When the clock struck 12, it was just crazy with noise.. then i saw the most amazing firework display I have ever seen! For .. oh I donno.. 10 minutes there was this mad display of fireworks! It was quite the eye pleaser! I love fireworks!
The day after New Years, we packed up our stuff and headed home.
