Amusement Park

This FerrisWheel that I live-up today, then down again
All answers are hidden-while my questions spin.
My life going faster-on the Merry-Go-Round
I reach for stillness-its nowhere to be found.
I climb the ladder-to the top of the Slide
Then watch it slip-my fallen pride.
The Haunted House-inside my heart
The ghost that haunts-as I fall apart.
Holding on tight-going up the hill
The Roller Coaster drops-as time stands still.
Sinking under-in my Pool of tears
Drowning in sorrow-drug down by fears.
The beauty of the Carousel-I want to stay
This turn is over-so I walk away.
Turning the steering wheel-the Dodge Cars draw nigh
Feeling the pressure-I start to cry.
I want to leave-show me the way
Open the Gate-don't make me stay.
Which way do I go-its just too dark
Help me escape-this Amusement Park.
