Dedicated to my "Mother"

The crown you placed-upon my head

Became too heavy-I had to shed

That perfect princess-you forced on me

Has broken away-and I am free.

The Queen you think-you’ve always been

Who knows everything-how and when.

You are not-you’re really quite sad

How you hate the World-how you’re always mad.

The thorns dug in my flesh-and you’d watch me bleed

And you’d continue to plant more-seed after seed.

Look in the mirror-do you see a Queen?

Or a lonely old woman-stuck in a dream?

The jokes on you-as you look down on me

Cuz the World can see-who you pretend to be.

Now,look in the mirror-tell me,do you see a Queen?

Or a lonely old woman-so cold and mean?

I threw the crown off-and watched it burn

I’ll be your audience-when you see its your turn.

I’ll applaud your embarrassment-I’ll hide your disguise

I’ll create a World of Echoes-to intensify your cries.

I’ll be your rude awakening-to your pitiful dream

Now,tell me again-do you see a Queen?
