Author's Bio: I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. I now reside in Indianapolis with my lovely wife, Kathleen. We were blessed with three children, Ryan, Kendra, and Heather. I served in the Navy aboard the USS Tecumseh, SSBN 628. My primary occupation since then, has been as a golf course superintendent. My two hobbies of golf and writing poetry consume most of my free time. I wrote my first poem in the 5th grade. Unfortunately, it was good enough to be read to the class by the teacher. Back then, boys weren't supposed to do poetry, and the teasing pretty much stifled my writing for a while. Fortunately, I grew up and continued to write. Light rhyme with humor or a twist are my favorites. Sometimes, I will dabble in deep verse, but I mainly write for smiles. I love writing personal poems for special occasions. It is a gift that lasts a lifetime and goes from the heart, to the heart. I have no credits, other than those my friends give me for trying. CJ Heck has graciously allowed me to post poems at Barking Spiders (and other such stuff) writing as a friend. Please enjoy my work and I hope you will be entertained. Rusty |
